The Goodreads community is diverse and passionate. Not everyone shares the same point of view, and that diversity of opinion is what makes Goodreads a great place to share ideas. As a book review and community discussion site, we work to provide readers with access to records for books that cover wide-ranging viewpoints, including topics and ideas not everyone agrees with.
At the same time, we listen carefully to feedback, review our approach regularly, and reserve the right to remove a record for a book from our database if we determine it creates a poor experience for our community.
We take violations of laws and proprietary rights very seriously. We will remove any records for books we determine may violate laws or copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
We don’t include certain records in our database for books whose content we determine contains hate speech, promotes the abuse or sexual exploitation of children, contains pornography, glorifies rape or pedophilia, advocates terrorism, or other material we deem inappropriate or offensive.
