I encourage people not to put the same book on here twice. Thanks for all contributions! I want people to realize why Christianity makes so much sense.

Oh and I did not put up the wicca books or anti- Christian books. So sorry about that I can't get rid of them either
Evil, Anger, and God: a Biblical Pastoral Study by Milton Crum
“This book is best read through patiently and with pen in hand; it is not light and breezy. Whether or not you agree with the author at all points, and this reviewer does not, you will find that in the end you will have wrestled with the deep things of God and that you will appreciate the Lord more profoundly, know yourself better and also be a better care giver and/or pastor when suffering makes its presence known, as it surely will.” Trinity Journal for Theology & Ministry, Fall 2008
I would add Walther's Law and Gospel...but it is almost impossible to find these days. If you can find a copy, buy it even if used. It will throw open the pages of Scriptural understanding for you. Everything in the Bible is either Law or Gospel, but how to correctly discern the difference is key to understanding God's grace through faith in Christ Jesus!
I added a Eugene Peterson book and a Dallas Willard book...but really, it could have been any of their books. Just didnt' see any others by them on the list.
Daniel wrote: "How did "The Shack" make it to the top ten of this list?"
I dont' think that is the original book, but a exploration of its themes.

Our Grace Lutheran Church Library has several copies. You can probably order a copy from Concordia Publishing House in St. Louis.

I have deleted a number of atheist and "spiritualist" books, as well as a duplicate of a Greg Boyd book.
I wish the list could be searched. I don't want to add a duplicate, but I don't want to read through the whole list either. It is quite long. I like it though. :)

A librarian can run merge and it will combine these books.

I think they should study a lot before choosing the books to put in the top ten list.
